Maybe I am just too emotive/sensitive for a guy, but I need to say that so far this story has given me some knots in my throat a few times. I’m forcing myself to hold back some tears here. No joking. Your writing is simply divine and I just love how you manage to stay faithful to the original personality of each of these characters (or at least how most of them would most certainly be in the MLP show). If often have a dislike for fan-made stories involving My Little Pony FiM and Doctor Who merely because most of them as far as I know, often “break” the character’s personality, having the characters in question do or say things they would never do in the official series, and with all honesty that simply pisses me off (excuse my language). Your story on the other hand got me hooked since the very first page and I’m loving every single panel of it!

I am probably not the most qualified person to say this but I can “feel” the vibe of Doctor Who and MLP in this story. You know, the way things often go in each of these shows. There’s the happy and silly moments, the serious moments and the really sad ones. One thing that helps telling if a story is well written is when you can imagine the characters speaking in their original voices. When I read the Doctor’s lines, I can hear David Tennant speaking in my mind. Same with Iron Will and etc. And you know why? Because you’ve managed to capture their essence. You are keeping the characters faithful to themselves. They do things the original characters do in their shows. They say things you could expect the originals to say. Which brings me back to ponder about the urge to cry a little because of this story.

Having watched all of the modern Doctor Who episodes and being familiar with the feeling and emotions presented by the characters in that series, see events like the conversion by the cybermen with the ponies I like so much, see how much emotion you have managed to put into the panels and text balloon is really heartbreaking. I almost cried a few times while watching episodes of Doctor Who that had cybermen converting people. To be honest, the whole series got me tears very often, but I’m talking in particular about the cybermen episodes. You my friend, have managed to transmit the same vibe I got from those episodes. You kept truthful to Doctor Who while at the same time staying truthful to My Little Pony. Two COMPLETELY different shows.

The writing is awesome, as I have already stated but the drawing also deserves recognition! Yes, I will be honest and say that it is nothing fancy like we see some other artists do but to tell the truth, fancy-looking comics are not always the best. In fact, sometimes I get bored of the visuals. Your style is simple but complete. It owns nothing to anyone’s. It is really well drawn and colored. The expressions are superb and do work for every single emotion that is meant to be transmitted to the reader. I can feel the Doctor and Lyra’s suffering. Their expressions complete the writing and that only happens because it is well made! Both of them!

This is the first time I am giving a critique on a deviation. I don’t really know much what to say other than this series of yours is absolutely amazing. I couldn’t stop reading it since I began, and that’s been about an hour or two ago up to this page. (I hope you don’t mind the fave-bomb, btw. Expect a watch, even!) There aren’t many stories or comics out there that manage to get me hooked like that. There isn’t! The ones that can are REALLY few. Comics-wise, so far, the one series that got me reading through all the pages non-stop was the official MLP comics, as far as I can remember.

You have here a gem. A treasure of entertainment. Consider yourself very talented, even if you think this is nothing or just something very simple. I apologize if I made this too long but I simply had to express how much I am enjoying these comics.

Please, do keep up the amazing work. Stay awesome! God bless. <img class="avatar" src="a.deviantart.net/avatars/d/r/d…" alt=":icondragonhug:" title="dragonhug" />
