Doctor Whooves - Twists and Turns Pt 6

I find this current chapter of the comic sends the readers many different emotions to be considered, that though this is a serious, high stakes type matter, humor is implemented to either lighten the mood or keep your audience interested, and I find that to be a very effective and entertaining element. But what I really need to bring to attention is the character development within this particular strip

Even though Iron Will isn't actually learning anything new, the audience is learning about his past, thus clearing a previously shaded area within the being known as Iron Will to the readers. I have written and re-written this section of my critique probably for the fifth time now because I cannot seem to explain my impressions strong enough to really encompass what it is I want to say, so I'll try to be as blunt as possible...

This particular section of the comic is outstanding, and though Iron Will's flashbacks have little to no script, the message is given clearly. From what we know about Iron Will in his previous conversation with Lyra, we get a daunting feeling of whatever we see in his past eventually ends in a very bad way. This style of storytelling is powerful, and makes your audience invested and emotionally connected to the characters. This is far from most comics I've seen where a character would be introduced in a more "here's some Pinkie Pie" type feel, whereas you not only introduce the characters, but build upon them as well. For example, Iron Will being one of the survivors in the invasion makes sense, mainly due to the fact that he has a will of iron, but not in the least bit did I expect his background to be presented, or that I would love him as a character more than I previously did.

The entire comic thus far has been no less than perfect, and is in fact better than any fanfiction I've ever read. The comic feels like an actual Dr. Who episode, and everything falls into place nicely.

Though I will not suggest including this flashback deal as a normal thing within your comic, it definitely is a nice touch in this particular scene.

Like I said before, I am incapable of expressing my true emotions and thoughts on your comic, and even now I have failed to present such information. This comic is amazing, and hopefully it's popularity will grow until it becomes an officially fan-made animated episode, like Double Rainboom or Snowdrop. Writing such as this can only be made by the hand of a master, and you have made it there.

I look forward to reading what is left in store for me in the coming chapters.
